Main characteristics

• Outdoor coverage up to 150 m

• Simply installation by alignment with acoustic (BUZZER)

and optical signal (LED or TESTER), without using

additional wires

• Wall or pole mounting

• It has thermal resistors to operate properly even in the

most critical weather conditions

• Possibility of vertical (+/-15°) and horizontal (+/-90°)

alignment of the beams (for example to increase the

coverage distance or to protect complete perimeter)

• Possibility of functioning in disqualify mode with adjustment

of the sensitivity

• Protection against opening, removal, masking

Barrier with linear active infra-red, composed of a TX and an RX; They are

suitable for protect large distances, both outdoor and indoor, since they

are designed following the most advanced technology they guarantee

both an high protection level and high immunity to false alarms. The BIR

series has a very easy installation thanks to the double system of

alignment.

Other characteristics

• Detection system adjustable in 3 modes: crossed rays;

double ray; single ray

• Transmission power adjustable to optimize the

consumption when the barriers are placed very close.

• Anti-masking system (with dedicated output)

• Open-collector output to signalize the disqualify mode

(gradual reduction of the infra-red caused by weather

conditions)

• Regulation of the reaction time to the violation from 50

msec to 1 sec

• Regulation of the sensitivity for choosing the time duration

that have to lack to the receiver to be consider as alarm

• Regulation of the sensitivity : percentage of infra-red signal

that have to lack to the receiver to be consider as alarm

(from 10% to 100%). This setting allows a tuning of the

system that guarantees an optimal compensation of

atmospheric events that can reduce the sensitivity (fog,

light on the receiver, dust on the cover)

• Thermal regulation distributed to the whole barrier: each

optic and base are autonomously thermal regulated to

avoid moisture amass on the surface

• Possibility of separate power supply for barriers and heater
